Give notice that they have a vacancy for a councillor, in accordance with to Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972. This follows the resignation of James Keirnan.

If within 14 days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays) of the date of this notice, 10 electors for the electoral area give notice in writing to the Returning Officer of Broxtowe Borough Council requesting an election to fill the vacancy, an election shall be held within sixty days beginning with the day on which public notice of the vacancy was given. If no such request is made, the vacancy will be filled through co-option by the Parish Council.
